Creating...Unfinished Australiana

I started this Australian bird/animal interactive wall hanging four years ago & while all the components are made & sewn on to the background the backing has been used for another project so I need to buy another big piece of felt & sew it together. Note to self...FINISH WALL HANGING SOON!

Tree with kookaburra, cockatoo & koala.

Cockatoo in wattle tree on actual
wall hanging background.

Billabong with water lillies & resident crocodile &
platypus.

Rock wallaby on its rock.

And last but not least...an echidna hiding in an old stump.

I thought that unstuffed my little critters would make make great finger puppets too!

  2. Wow, this is amazing! What a lovely fun piece of work. It would be really cool with velcro on the animals so you could take them off. I love it.

    1. Hey Lakota, if you look closely at each 'habitat' you'll see little oval pockets blending into each background for the creatures to sit in when the wall hanging is actually on the wall rather than on the floor as a playmat. I decided againt velcro as it stands out too much (unless dyed to match-very time consuming) & it tends to collect bits of fluff etc. Thankyou for stopping by & for your compliments! All compliments put a smile on my face & encourage me to keep creating! :-) Nina x
